MAZDA Certified Pre-Owned Warranty FAQ

January 13th, 2025 by

When you order a certified pre-owned vehicle at our dealership, you’ll receive a Mazda Certified Pre-Owned warranty alongside it. But if you’re unsure what this warranty covers and how long it protects you for, the North Penn Mazda team has you covered. Here’s all the questions people ask us about this warranty, and the answers you need.

What Is the Vehicle Limited Warranty?

Every Mazda Certified Pre-Owned vehicle comes with a Vehicle Limited Warranty which continues coverage after the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. This covers Mazda parts that malfunction as a result of manufacturer error or defect, and lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles — whichever comes first.

What Is the Limited Powertrain Warranty?

You can also get coverage on your vehicle’s powertrain parts, including the engine, transmission, and drivetrain components through the Limited Powertrain Warranty. This warranty lasts for up to seven years or 100,000 miles.

Is There a Deductible on Warranty Repairs?

There is no deductible for any repairs and replacements covered under your warranty. We can perform the warranty-covered service at no additional cost for parts.

Will the New Vehicle Warranty Still Apply?

If you purchase a Mazda Certified Pre-Owned vehicle before its New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage period ends, the new vehicle warranty will still be active. Your certified pre-owned warranty won’t take effect until the original vehicle warranty ends, ensuring that you’re covered through the vehicle’s original lifecycle.

Can I Transfer the Warranties?

Yes! If you sell your vehicle to another owner, the warranty coverage will carry over to them at no additional cost.
