Powertrain

Both the 2025 Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda3 Hatchback have the same powertrain options and thus have the same power output. Both models feature a standard 2.5-liter Skyactiv®-G engine that delivers 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. You can also boost this power output to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque with the available 2.5-liter Skyactiv®-G Dynamic Pressure Turbo engine.

Driveline

Both vehicles’ drivelines are a little different. The 2025 Mazda CX-30 has standard i-Activ AWD®. The 2025 Mazda3 Hatchback has standard front-wheel drive, with i-Activ AWD® optional.

Passenger and Cargo Space

The 2025 Mazda CX-30 features up to 38.3 inches of headroom for passengers, compared to the maximum of 37.2 inches in the rear seats of the Mazda3 Hatchback. However, the latter model has more legroom in the front — with 42.3 inches to stretch out in, compared to 41.7 inches in the Mazda CX-30. Cargo space is very similar, with 20.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats in the 2025 Mazda CX-30 and 20.1 cubic feet in the hatchback.

Infotainment Tech
