Power and Performance

There are two gas-powered engines available for the 2026 Mazda CX-50. Those who stick with the entry-level option will receive a Skyactiv®-G 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that makes 187 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque while paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a turbocharged version of this same engine that produces a more thrilling 256 horsepower alongside 320 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid version of this new Mazda vehicle is also available.

No matter which 2026 Mazda CX-50 configuration you select, you’ll get standard i-Activ AWD® for enhanced traction and control on slippery surfaces. The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select® program is also standard with Sport and Off-Road options. Turbo-powered trims come standard with a 3,500-lb maximum towing capacity.

Technology Features

While piloting the 2026 Mazda CX-50, you’ll have the support of a wide range of advanced technologies. It all starts with the 7-inch instrument panel display and 10.25-inch center display, which features wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. A wireless phone charger is included for on-the-go convenience, while Amazon Alexa Built-in™ simplifies control with hands-free voice commands. The standard eight-speaker audio system can be further upgraded to a 12-speaker Bose® setup. Other available features include a head-up display, an adaptive front lighting system, and signature LED headlights.
